Shifted Librarian gives Negrito a tip
Okey … sooo follow along with me a little. I downloaded a new program for the iBookables this week. Its a dandy little **free** RSS reader program named Shrook. ( you know that **free** makes me smile)
Installed the little puppy, which if you dont have a Mac you should know is as easy as drag n drop. Anywho its a nice little program and while picking some feeds I selected The Shifted Librarian. TSL is a prolific blogger, practiclly famous actually who has been writing about her life as a librarian, library issues and technology for many years. She is just back from the Internet Librarian 2006 Conference which produced a furious torrent of posts. So, Im skimming the posts, from the conference and I come across this great post on a Wiki site that she links to.
Why is it so great? Its a huge list of Library related blogs. Librarians as technologist … its a good thing! All this Library goodness in one place, its almost too good to be true. It may take me a while to get through the list and pick a few to follow, Im glad someone took the time to put it together.
I know it was a long way to get to a list of blogs, but well the journey is half the fun. And hopefully even if you could care less about the punchline I have talked you into either:
a. loving free software
b. buying a mac
c. attending a conference
d. checking out The Shifted Librarian
e. all of the above
